17" OF BEER: Fritz appeared on an entire page of the Round Rock Leader daily newspaper when it covered Bitter Kitten Music & Punchy for South by Southwest. Check it out here.

PUNCHY'S SXSW X-TRAVAGANZA: As we may have mentioned before, Punchy played a most excellent showcase at SXSW 2000 with Grindstone (Portland, OR) Random (Hollywood, CA) Pedro Luz (Portland, OR), and Doublewide (Salt Lake City, UT). Mug shots are now available.

Additionally they had excellent responses from the crowds at the Audiopia.com showcase and the Miranda's bar gig for SixTone Records, not to mention the Musicblitz.com folks who gave 'em a song contract on the spot. A panel of 6 judges from throughout the entertainment industry displayed the coveted "thumbs up" when Punchy performed their hit song, "Spray Job", at 11:30 that morning.

HE SEEMED LIKE SUCH A NICE BOY: By now you may know that PUNCHY has some music in the independent film feature Natural Selection, which was shown at the Dobie Theatre in Austin from February 4th to the 26th and also at the 1999 Austin Film Festival. Info on Natural Selection, a black comedy about serial killers starring David Carradine, Darren Burrows (Northern Exposure), Stephen Root, and Michael Bowen is still available at www.naturalselectionmovie.com.
