You are standing in a parking lot somewhere in Texas. In front of you is a guy who is enjoying the fact that he has a 9mm in your face. Apparently you stared at his wife’s ass for too long. A truck drives up in a cloud of dust. The sound for this scene could have been written by Punchy. Still, to describe the four guys from Austin, Texas as a mere background combo would be unfair.  It sounds like a bit of Tom Petty meeting Lou Reed, who then go with Mr. Dean himself for a drink somewhere. Packaged in enjoyable, not-overly forceful Midwestern rock, the eleven songs of the album tell stories from the cowboy land.  This band is like a glass of whiskey; you don’t really need it, but somehow you feel better after having had one.
