The Short Story
Punchy is a 4-piece midwest-roots-rock band in the tradition of Soul Asylum, The Replacements, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers with shades of Elvis Costello, Ian Hunter, and The Clash.
The Line-up
Formed in 1996, Punchy has been performing and recording non-stop (2 cds and 200 shows per year). While there have been a few changes in personnel (more on that later) the band has featured the following line-up since 1999:
- Fritz Beer - Songwriting, lead vocals, rhythm guitar
- Errol Siegel - Lead guitar, background vocals
- Armando Reyes - Drums
- Matthew Hunke - Bass guitar
